Kaye 8 shots back after day 1

JJ Shearer (SUNY Binghampton) won a Collegiate Players Tour event in Rome, NY. He shot 76, 65, 73 to win by 3 shots. This win qualifies him for the year end championship in Texas.
Tessa Teachman (Baton Rouge, LA) shot three rounds of 71 to finish 1 shot out of second and 3 out of first in the AJGA Rolex Championship. The "Rolex" is one of the AJGA's "Majors" and is an invitation only event.
Shane Dobesh (Webster GC) a sophomore at Webster Schroeder HS started his swing work in late May. The number one player on the Webster Schroeder team averaged just over 41 this Spring and has begun to play in the WNYPGA Junior Tournaments. He has already gained 20 yards on his drive and is hitting his irons a club longer than before.
Patrick Uhazie (Midvale CC) shot a 2 under 69 to win the WNYPGA Tournament held at Centerpointe CC. Patrick is a Junior at Penfield High School.
Kevin Kaye (Wildwood CC) shot a ten over 298 (79, 73, 73, 73) at the 2008 NJCAA Div III National Championship played at Chautauqua GC. This score placed Kevin in sixth place and only 3 shots back of the champion. After Kevin's 79, his 3 over par on the last three days was the lowest in the field. As the sixth place finisher, Kevin was named a 2nd Team All-American.
Kevin Kaye (Wildwood CC) shot a 79 at Chautauqua GC during the first round of the NJCAA Division III National Championship.
