Students lead point standings for WNYPGA Junior Tour - John @ 12:10 am EST
Chris Malec, Joe Drummond and Dan Drummond are all currently leading the point race for the three age divisions on the WNYPGA Junior Tour. Chris competes in the 16-18, Joe in the 13-15 and Dan in the 9-hole.

Great job guys and keep it up..


GGS Students sweep again at Centerpointe - John @ 12:07 am EST
Aaron Youngman, Joe Drummond and Dan Drummond each won their division at Centerpointe GC. Aaron shot 70, Joe 74 and Dan 38.

Brian McKenna placed third with a 73 while competing in the 16-18 yr old division.

WNYPGA Results at Rothland - John @ 12:03 am EST
Chris Malec, Dan Drummond and Joe Drummond, students at GGS, all won or tied for first in their division at Rothland GC. Chris shot 75, Joe 81 and Dan 39.

Brian McKenna places 5th at Eagle Vale - John @ 11:46 pm EST
Student Brian McKenna shot an 80 and placed 5th at Eagle Vale in the WNYPGA's Junior Tournament. Brian competes in the 16-18 year old division and is a member of the Penfield High School Varsity golf team.


Chris Malec with 2 runner-up finishes - John @ 11:44 pm EST
Student Chris Malec has two second place finishes in the WNYPGA Junior Tournaments. Chris competes in the 16-18 year old division and also has another top 5 finish.


Joe Drummond wins first event at Eagle Vale - John @ 11:40 pm EST
Student Joe Drummond shot a 78 to win his first WNYPGA Junior Tournament at Eagle Vale GC. Joe competes in the 13-15 year old division and has placed in the top 10 in each of the first four events.

Dan Drummond dominates WNYPGA 9 hole division - John @ 11:34 pm EST
Student Dan Drummond has won each of the first four WNYPGA Junior events. Dan is averaging under 40 strokes for 9 holes with a low round of 37, shot at Holiday Valley.

New student Kris Boyes place 2nd at Section VI qualifier - John @ 11:17 pm EST
Kris Boyes, a senior from Kenmore East, placed second at the Section VI state qualifier after firing scores of 76 and 35 for a 27 hole total of 111. This will be Kris' second straight trip to the state tournament.

Kris is also an incoming freshman at Monroe Community College and will surely be an immediate impact golfer for the team. Great Job.


Brett Semple and Dave Mon to compete for MCC - John @ 11:06 pm EST
Brett Semple and Dave Mon qualified to compete for Monroe Community College at the NJCAA Div III National Championship. Brett is a returning All-American and was 10 shots behind last year's winner, Mike Colosi. Dave will be competing at the championship for the first time. Congratulations and Good Luck.


Students perform at Section V qualifier - John @ 11:03 pm EST
Joe Colosi qualified today, shooting a 75, to compete for section V at the New York State High School Championship located at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club at Cornell. Dan Colosi is the 1st alternate after firing a 77 at Clifton Springs CC. Four other students competed in the event including: Tyler Phillips, Chris Malec, Ben Finn and Scott Howell.


Jake Reimer advances to 2nd stage of US Open qualifying - John @ 10:50 pm EST
Student Jake Reimer shot a 72 at Onondaga CC to get into a playoff for one of two qualifying spots for this year's US Open at Oakmont CC. Jake sunk a 15 foot slider on the second playoff hole to advance. He will travel to Kansas City for the second stage of qualifying. Good Luck and Congratulations.


Mike Colosi signs with Belmont-Abbey - John @ 10:45 pm EST
Mike Colosi has verbally committed to attend Belmont-Abbey College, located in North Carolina, for Fall 2007. He will be receiving a partial scholarship and expecting to be an impact player for a Division II powerhouse. They recently won their Regional and will be competing at the Division II National this week.
