MCC Tribunes break Region III scoring record
- John @ 11:11 pm EST The very next day, MCC broke par again with a 1 under par 287 at Chautauqua GC's Lake Course. The team's score consisted of Mike Colosi's 70, Justin Rinas' 71, Justin Pfalzer's 72 and Mike Dulen's 74. Mike Colosi's score of 70 was also good for medalist honors. Way to go Tribunes!

The MCC Tribune golf team became the first team ever in Region III, Division III golf to shoot a team score below par. Their 4 under par 284 was shot at Peak & Peek's lower course on Saturday, April 22nd. The team's score consisted of Brett Semple's 69, Mike Colosi's 71, Justin Pfalzer's 71 and John Altobello's 73. Brett's 69 was also good for medalist honors.
Dewey Weller, of Webster, New York, signed a letter of intent to attend the Div. II nationally ranked University of Charleston (West Virginia). He will be receiving a 1/2 athletics scholarship for golf for the academic year beginning Fall 2006. Dewey has been the standout golfer for Webster Schroeder High School for the last few years and last year, shot a career low 66 at an RDGA junior event held at the Webster Golf Club (West Course).
The MCC tribunes finished 3rd and 1st for their first two tournaments of the year. With scores of 300 and 307, MCC currently sits at 2nd in Region III and 3rd nationally. Brett Semple was low for MCC in the first two matches with scores of 73 and 75 at Hidden Valley GC and Endwell Greens respectively.
Joe Colosi, an 8th grader at Roth Middle School, shot a 3 under 68 at his home course of Wildwood CC on Friday. He currently plays as the number one man on the Rush-Henrietta High School varsity golf team and has plans to compete in some regional, state and local junior tournaments this summer.
