What’s New with John Graham

May 16th, 2014

Just wanted to take a second and fill you in on some upcoming events and new happenings.

Earlier this week, a magazine in the UK named Today’s Golfer featured a DVD from our Short Game Secrets video download series.  The DVD is attached to each magazine they put on newsstands and offers a 25% discount code for those interested in purchasing the full set. James Ridyard and I are excited and honored to be featured so prominently in a very popular Golf Magazine like Today’s Golfer. Considering that Short Game Secrets is less than a year old, it speaks to the value this series can offer players and coaches. It isn’t information that you’ll find in the typical video you download and for that reason is a little pricier than most. Here’s a picture of the magazine:

After that, I’ll be traveling to Germany to do a 1 day Workshop with Ian Peek. Here’s a flyer for the workshop discussing all the details needed.

Tweet Up – 2014 US PGA Merchandise Show

December 21st, 2013

2014 Tweet Up

It’s here. The 2014 US PGA Merchandise Show Tweet Up. Last year, I wasn’t able to attend the annual get together I started 3 years ago and want to send out a Thank You to Sara Dickson and Ricky Potts for keeping the tradition alive last year.

What started as a small little event has grown each year and I would expect the same this year. This events purpose is to finally bring golf professionals together face that face who have only talked with others on Twitter. Surely, we also now have many attend that have already met each other but have created strong bonds of friendship from their initial Twitter chats. That’s what this day is all about. It’s about meeting, networking and sharing stories and ideas.

Let’s get to the Details:

Where: Brickhouse Tavern and Tap – 8440 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819

When: Wednesday, January 22nd – 8:00pm till closing

Who: Any and all Twitter users

Cost: Whatever you drink and eat is on you

The Brickhouse has said that we will likely be out on the patio again this year and they have been very accommodating to us over the years. Please consider offering them any patronage you might plan for that evening to keep this relationship beneficial to both parties.

Tweet Up – 2012 PGA Merchandise Show

December 16th, 2011

Tweet Up PGA ShowAnnouncing the Official Site for the 2012 PGA Show Tweetup. We will be getting together at a place called the Brick House on Thrusday, January 26th at 8pm. For those that didn’t make it last year, a Tweet Up is simply a get together of people that know each other through Twitter. Last year, I organized my first tweet up at the show and it turned out to be a fantastic success. We ended up spending the entire night there and closed down the bar.

Based on last year’s success and our growing twitter networks, I expect this tweet up to be larger than last year. It is a great opportunity to meet the people you have been tweeting with for the past year. Last year I think we had almost 30 people in and out through the night so I’m hopeful that this year we get around 40 or so.

Please pass this around to those you know by sharing it on Twitter and Facebook. I will certainly be mentioning it in many places online.

Here’s a map of it’s location along with their telephone number.

7 Nights of the Twitter Academy

December 11th, 2011

Twitter Academy Logo7 Nights of the Twitter Academy. This idea born from Jason Helman is designed to match the Golf Channels 7 Nights of their Academy. It will feature 7 Top Coaches that have extensive Twitter followings. Each night, one of the coaches will showcase a subject specific video with each coach taking on a different subject.

It should be a great opportunity for golfers to get some additional information from some top coaches. It starts tomorrow night, Dec. 12th at 8:00pm and runs for 7 nights. Topics covered will be Putting, Driving, Chipping, Approach Irons, Mid and Long Irons, Bunkers and Club Fitting with the order of information from the green outwards.

I know all of these coaches well and I’m really looking forward to see what they have come up with. I also hope that this starts some kind of regular thing because I think it is a great idea to showcase great information in a medium that is different than where most go to find good golf information. I can tell you from experience that Twitter is one of the best places to go for good golf information and I hope the 7 Nights of the Twitter Academy brings home that point.

Here are a couple trailers to view.

In order to watch the Twitter videos, you’ll want to follow the presenters. Here’s is the order they will appear and their Twitter Usernames so you can follow them. Click on their name to go to their website and their twitter handle to follow them.
