AimPoint Golf Green Reading Conversion Chart

I’ve received a couple requests and questions about converting Exelys Breakmaster degrees of slope to percent slope so I thought I would post the conversion chart.  This chart can also be used for conversion from phone apps as well.  Chart provided by Mark Sweeney on the AimPoint Golf Forum.

For those of you looking for how can I expand this chart, here’s the formula.

Tangent (degrees) * 100 = Percent slope

So, find the Tan of what ever degrees you are searching for, Multiply by 100 and you’ll have your % slope:

Here’s an extended chart for you:

I have found a free app for iPhone that is basically a slope reader. You just set your phone down and it will give you the degree of slope. Its called iLeveli. Problem is I am a dumbass and can’t figure out how to convert it to percentage. A conversion chart for this would be awesome thanks.

Degree of slope? Not sure what you mean. Is it in angles of degree or % slope.

I don’t know of any other.

Each degree is 1.75 in % grade or slope — you don’t need tangents. 1 degree is 1.75%, 2 degrees is 3.5% (2*1.75), and 3 degrees is 5.25% slope (3*1.75), and 4 degrees is 7% (4*1.75). That’s why Exelys and others that use degrees are rather ignorant, since degrees are too FAT for use, and no one can perceive the degrees anyway.

    Geoff,

I always like to show where the answer came from.
